Kitten left to DIE at VETERINARIAN hospital. Tech smuggled kitten out to me. A Kitten Who Got Lucky Sinbad beat the odds. He had been bitten by a Pitbull and left lingering untreated for 3 days at a veterinary hospital in Stockton, CA — suffering , just waiting for animal control.A compassionate vet tech from that clinic secretly called us, ( no idea how she got my phone number) whispering as she didn’t want anyone to hear her call. When Sinbad arrived to me , his leg was purple black and swollen to twice its normal size. He had puncture wounds across his chest. Our vet took X-rays and recommended amputation, but we opted for aggressive antibiotic treatment, daily massages with healing oils. Slowly, the swelling went down. Eventually, Sinbad underwent surgery to repair his leg with pins and bolts. He lost a few toes to gangrene, but he kept his leg — and his beautiful spirit.Sinbad went on to live 17 wonderful years. His story is a reminder that every life matters and that sometimes it only takes one brave act of kindness to change a life forever

Our Story:

When we began breeding Chihuahuas over 30 years ago we didn’t have a cell phone , nor website. Eventually we came online in 2002 and we started to sell puppies. We decided that a portion of every Chihuahua sale would go directly toward helping homeless or injured cats in need of surgeries or medical care. Our 2 decade our YouTube channel MUNCHKINPUPS is where we started to document some of our rescue. YouTube channel offers proof going back 22 years CLICK HERE

One of our earliest rescues around 2000 was a tiny kitten named Bee, whom we recognized had a serious issue as she was being given away in front of Walmart by some children. She had a severe chest deformity, and with help from the exceptional team at UC Davis Veterinary Hospital, she had a a $4,500 surgery to move her intestines from her chest into her abdomen.

Another unforgettable rescue was an orange kitten found at Costco. We call him JACK SPARROW . Both front legs crushed in a Costco outside compactor. Surgery saved one leg back to full use, but while the other leg is deformed he uses it and shows no pain. He’s still with us today as you see in current photos

In 2023, we rescued a few who had been attacked by Coyotes. One , a very affectionate girl we call Mama. Over the last 2 years we’ve spent more than $6700 ( your funds made this possible ) including full-mouth extractions, bloodwork, X-rays, and medications. She was given an extra TWO YEARS OF AN AMAZING LIFE. She has FIV And sadly February 2026 we are weeks away from euthanasia. She has tumors , likely in relationship to her AIDS, but was it worth over $6000 to give her two more happy years! YES. Thank you.

Another rescue late 2024 Hopie, was found malnourished , serious skin issues, and pregnant In a homeless encampment . We were told this was her tenth pregnancy and luckily we were able to convince the folks to let us take her. X-rays showed she was a few weeks from delivery, but due to her poor condition she had an abortion. The procedure, follow-up care, and medications totaled over $2,000. HOPIE requires a few medications each month and injections to feel comfortable. She is a hospice cat. Those years of neglect have harmed her body beyond repair. Photos show the improvement in her skin with 3 medications she receives.

We found him screaming outside with his lip torn down past his chin hanging .That is not his tongue you see but his raw jaw and chin showing with no flesh covering. He goes nose to nose with other animals we noticed so believe a raccoon grabbed him on the face resulting in the traumatic Injury. We will pay for his re attachment surgery if needed,

UPDATE . Despite being in petsmart three weeks he was not adopted. He is 24 lbs and a challenge for an older one like me, but I’m all he has. He loves everyone . It’s hard to keep him from eating everyone’s food.
